Just Susan Sontag wearing a bear suit
While I should be comping bass lines, I’m meandering about the internet, and I find this on Tumblr, which leads me to remember/search for/find Sontag’s warning/explanation on how the ubiquity of photography has changed us:

“Images transfix. Images anaesthetize. An event known through photographs certainly becomes more real…but after repeated exposure to images it becomes less real.”

Sigh. After repeated exposure to images, I can’t really experience Susan Sontag in a bear suit like I oughtta.
What else can’t I oughtta?
